Chemical Peels
VI Peel
Reveal fresh, radiant skin: How chemical peels can transform your complexion
Chemical peels are an effective solution to common skin issues including pigmentation, acne, scars, and fine lines. What is sometimes referred to as “chemexfoliation” has been used for hundreds of years for both clinical and aesthetic purposes. But what makes VI Peel the best choice for chemexfoliation?
VI Peel’s version of a chemical peel offers you a safer alternative to mechanical or physical exfoliation. Our peels also can address multiple skin issues simultaneously, from texture, to pigment, to acne, all in one in-office visit.
VI Peel
A medium-strength peel that addresses fine lines, acne scars, sun damage, and dull skin while boosting collagen production. Expect light peeling for 5-7 days as your skin reveals a smoother, brighter glow.

Before and After Care for Chemical Peels
-
Before Treatment
Avoid retinol, exfoliants, and harsh skincare for 48 hours.
Avoid waxing for 2 weeks before peel.
Must wait 2 weeks between permanent makeup and peel.
Avoid self tanning or sun burn for 2 weeks before peel.
Stay hydrated and protect your skin with SPF 30+ before your appointment.
Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin.
-
After Treatment
Follow the take home kit provided to you after your treatment.
The first two days your skin will look a little tan, bronzed, or pink. It may also feel a bit tight before the peeling begins.
As a general rule, treat it like a sunburn: avoid sun exposure, avoid sweating and avoid heat.
Do NOT exercise for 72-96 hours after peel application. Inducing excessive perspiration can lead to Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation or blistering.
During the peeling phase you must avoid sun exposure. Even after the peeling has subsided your new skin will be sensitive to UV light. Protect your investment and reapply your sunscreen when outdoors.
If any products in the post peel kit sting or irritate beyond your tolerance reach out to your practitioner for options to use instead.
The amount of visible peeling you will experience varies greatly. You will peel as much as your skin needs to peel.
Each morning apply the VI Derm Post-Treatment Repair Cream and VI Derm SPF 50 Daily UV Defense Broad Spectrum Sunscreen
and apply as needed throughout the day. Continue use for the 7-Day peeling process.
Pigment may darken as the skin prepares to peel. This is normal.
