Upon your arrival, we will review your forms to gain a better understanding of your skin and any concerns you may have. We will apply a topical numbing cream to your face, and if you are also receiving treatment for your neck, we will apply the numbing cream there as well. After allowing the numbing cream to take effect for about 20 to 30 minutes, we will begin the treatment!
Treatment will take approximately 30 minutes. Your full appointment will take 1 hour.
Do not be alarmed when your skin is red and flushed after the procedure. It may look and feel similar to a mild to moderate sunburn, but it will go away! This could last anywhere from 12 hours to 2-3 days. You may also experience mild swelling, tightness, and/or mild peeling – this is normal! Side effects are temporary and typically resolve within 2-3 days. Total healing time depends on the depth of the treatment, skin type, and skin condition. We notice that patients typically notice an immediate glow, but visible improvement will take about 2-4 weeks and can continue for up to 6 months.
For many patients, a series of 3-4 treatments is recommended approximately 4-6 weeks apart for optimal results. It is important to work with a knowledgeable, experienced provider who can recommend the best treatment plan for your specific skincare needs and goals.
